- Close 267.9 3rd percentile: above 3% of its previous 81 readings near its low

A percentile is the share of the earlier sessions in the window below today's figure (an equal one counts half), so a new high for the period is the 100th. The window is about four months: high for the season, not for the year, and never a fair value or a forecast.

About AppLovin
Revised 2026-10-07What it is
AppLovin is an advertising technology company. Its software sits between advertisers and the ad space inside mobile games and other mobile software: a mediation service lets publishers auction their inventory among competing ad networks, and its own demand platform bids for that space on behalf of advertisers, using a machine-learning engine to predict which user is likely to install a game or make a purchase. Advertisers have historically been mostly games companies, and the platform has since been extended to e-commerce and other businesses. The company once owned a portfolio of mobile games, which it sold to concentrate on the advertising software. Margins are very high.
What drives it
The predictive engine is the product, and improvements to it have produced step changes both in revenue and in the valuation the market applies. Whether that performance can be repeated outside games is the main question: e-commerce advertisers represent a far larger pool of spending, and evidence of how fast they adopt the platform has moved the shares most. Platform rules are the structural risk. The business depends on mobile operating systems and stores run by Apple and Google, and changes to how they permit tracking or attribution can alter its access to the data its models rely on. Short sellers have published reports questioning how it gathers and uses data, which the company has disputed, and regulatory headlines on that subject can move the shares sharply.
How it trades through the day
Its trading is confined to the New York cash session, 13:30 to 20:00 UTC in summer and 14:30 to 21:00 UTC in winter, and it is one of the most volatile shares of its size. Results come after the close, and moves of twenty per cent or more the next day have occurred; short-seller reports have produced sharp falls within a single session. Options activity is heavy and retail participation large, which tends to amplify moves once they begin.
What it tends to move with
Its fundamentals tie it to mobile advertising and spending on games, and Meta, which competes for the same performance-marketing budgets, is the clearest large-cap comparison. Unity, a rival in mobile ad networks and game tools, is a closer but smaller one. In practice the shares have tended to trade with the high-momentum group.
APP: questions
What is the price of AppLovin today?
APP was quoted at $260.25 as of 21:53 UTC on 23 October 2026, down 1.52% over the previous 24 hours. Prices on Kinzan update every five minutes and may be delayed.
How volatile is APP?
