Currency strength
The British Pound is the strongest currency over the last 24 hours, averaging +0.48% across its 7 pairs, and the Australian Dollar the weakest at −0.31%, as of 10:53 UTC on 30 September 2026.
A pair says two things at once. Averaging each currency's signed move across every pair it appears in separates them: a currency that rose against everything scores high, one that rose against a single weak partner barely moves.

How it is calculated
For every currency pair, the base currency takes the pair's 24-hour move and the quote currency takes its negative: EUR/USD rising 0.4% counts as +0.4% for the euro and −0.4% for the dollar. A currency's strength is the unweighted mean of its own contributions.
It is not a trade-weighted index. Coverage is uneven — the dollar and the euro appear in many pairs, most emerging-market currencies in one — so the number of pairs travels with every row. A pair with no measured move contributes nothing, and a currency with no measured pair is listed as unknown rather than shown as flat.
