The trading journal that does the work
Log three prices. Get your win rate, your expectancy, your profit factor and the drawdown you actually lived through, with the market read attached to every trade. Free.

Why bother
Most journals die in a spreadsheet.
You type trades in for a month, never build the formulas, and quietly stop. This one is built the other way round: give it the prices you already know and it gives you the answer you were after.
- Expectancy and profit factor, computed for you.
- The market read stamped on every trade.
- Share cards built to post.
- Export to CSV or JSON any time.
A trading journal that does the work
Free, and it already knows what the market was doing
Most traders stop journalling because it is data entry with no payoff. You type trades into a spreadsheet for a month, never build the formulas, and quietly give up. Kinzan's journal is built the other way round: you give it the three prices you already know, and it gives you the answer you were after.
What your journal looks like after 40 trades
A worked example, drawn by the same code your own journal uses
Sample data. These are invented trades at invented prices, shown so you can see what the journal does — not a real account and not live market data.

▲ +10.54R over 39 closed trades · deepest drawdown −6.38R
That is a 54% win rate and an expectancy of +0.27R per trade, through a drawdown of −6.38R in the middle. None of it was typed in by hand. You log an entry, a stop and an exit; the journal does the rest.
And the part nobody wants to see
Average result by how the trade felt at the time
Same trader, same month. The difference between the best row and the worst is +2.84R a trade. You cannot fix that until you can see it, and you cannot see it until you write it down.
Kinzan also stamps its own market read onto every trade as you log it, so the journal can tell you something no other journal can: this account won 47% of the trades it took with the prevailing read and 50% of the ones it took against it.
▲ +10.54R over 39 closed trades in the example above.
What you get
It does the maths you keep meaning to do
Win rate, expectancy, profit factor, payoff ratio, average win against average loss, your longest run of each, and the drawdown you actually lived through. Computed from an entry, a stop and an exit. There is no spreadsheet to maintain and no formula to get wrong.
Every trade carries what the market was doing
Kinzan stamps its own market read onto each trade as you log it: risk-on or risk-off, the day's summary, the narratives that were live, what was on the calendar. Months later you can see whether you do better trading with the prevailing read or against it. No other journal can tell you that, because no other journal was watching the market when you pressed save.
Linked to the real chart, not a screenshot
Each trade links to the instrument's own Kinzan page and its live chart, and the trade page draws the daily closes around your entry and exit with your stop and target marked on them. You get to see the thing you were looking at, as it was.
A card built to post
One tap turns your equity curve, a single trade, a winning run or your year so far into an image sized for a feed. R and percentages by default, because that is what traders compare and because your account size is nobody's business. Money only appears if you tick the box, for that one share.
Your data leaves whenever you want
Export the whole journal to CSV or JSON in one click, with the caveats attached: an empty cell means unknown and never zero, timestamps are UTC, and every converted figure says which rate it used. It is your record. We are not holding it hostage.
The same journal on your phone
Log a trade on the train, review it on a big screen at home. One account, one set of trades, nothing to export and nothing to sync.
How it works
Log it in ten seconds
Instrument, long or short, entry, stop. That is enough to start. Exit when you are out.
Kinzan fills in the rest
The market read at that moment, the instrument's chart, the session you traded, your R multiple and your money result.
Find out where your edge actually is
By market, by session, by setup, by how you felt, and with or against the market read. Then share the bit you are proud of.
No card, no trial, no tiers. The whole thing is free.
Questions about the journal
Is the trading journal really free?
Yes, all of it. There is no trial, no tier and no card. The journal, the analytics, the charts, the share cards and the export are the whole product and they are free.
What do I have to type in for each trade?
An instrument, whether you were long or short, and your entry price. A stop lets the journal compute your R multiple, and an exit closes the trade. Everything else is optional, and the market context is attached automatically.
What is an R multiple, and why does the journal use it?
R is your result measured in units of the risk you took: a trade that made twice what you stood to lose is +2R. It is the only way to compare a cautious trade against an aggressive one, and unlike a money figure it does not need your account size, so the journal can compute it from three prices.
Can I see my results in money rather than R?
Yes, if you record a position size. The journal converts into your account currency and shows both. Where a trade has no size recorded, the money figure is left blank rather than counted as zero, and the page says which trades those were.
Does it work with my broker?
The journal is broker-independent: you log the trade, so it does not matter where you placed it. There is no broker connection and no account credentials to hand over.
What does 'with or against the market read' mean?
Kinzan publishes its own read of the market through the day, risk-on or risk-off. When you log a trade the journal stamps that read onto it. Later it can split your record in two and show whether you do better going with the prevailing read or against it. Aligned means long a risk asset when the read was risk-on, or long a haven when it was risk-off.
Is my journal private?
Yes. It is readable only by your own account, it is never sold or shared, and it is not used to train any model. You can export it or delete it at any time.
Does sharing a card reveal my account size?
Not unless you choose it. Cards show R multiples and percentages by default, and money only appears if you tick a box for that one share. Position sizes are suppressed along with money, because they imply an account size just as directly.
Can I use it on my phone and my laptop?
Yes. One account and one set of trades, wherever you sign in, so a trade logged on a phone is there when you open a laptop. Nothing to export and nothing to sync.
Can I get my trades back out?
Any time, as CSV or JSON, in one click. The export carries its own caveats: an empty cell means unknown rather than zero, timestamps are UTC, and every converted figure records which exchange rate it used.
